More about the Artist

Fairy dancing on water, as a fish leaps — acrylic and gauche on canvas. By Sofie.

Sofia J., whose deliberately given name means “Wisdom of the world”, is a child prodigy based in the Pakistani Himalayas (aka Karakorams). Child of a shepherd father and a city-woman-turned-semi-nomad, of Persian and Arab lineages respectively, she brings together the best of many worlds.

Homeschooled by her mother who uses a combination of ancient and contemporary techniques to activate multiple intelligences and a sense of character in the child, Sofia has learned several artisanal skills fitted for the 21st-century world where humans are increasingly turning towards self-realization and utilization of complex potentials. Both of Sofia’s parents are visionaries who are defined by their dislike of the Matrix of a military-industrial civilization, and seek to relieve themselves and their communities of the same, and uplift the people to a civilization of SOVEREIGNTY which has been lost for eons.

Sofia’s mother, Ramala Hubb’Allah, while born a “city woman” in a doleful industrial town from which she latter shifted to an oceanside cosmopolitan, appears to be an everyday modern woman — but hides within herself memories of lifetimes past and future. It appears that a soul connection and a rising love for retreat in the mountains eventually brought her to the Himalayas in 2013. The next year, Sofia the prodigal daughter was born.

Ramala says she understands the assignment of returning humans to a sovereign socio-economy, so she set off to teach her child how to be an artisan and a person skilled with hands and of independent intellect.

To this end, Sofie has been taught various skills through a gentle approach that allows her to be exploratory and self-led, within a curated environment designed by her mother and facilitated naturally by place in a remote Himalayan setting. She has learned painting, doll-making, sketching, poetry, writing, jewelry design (sketches), and some herbalism — all in various stages of accomplishment and development. Ramala Hubb’Allah, who was the first in her lineage in a long time to get a modern business degree, and who entered the new millennium immersed into the then new world of the Internet, coding, and chat rooms (now social media), is teaching Sofia to not just make art but make business, bringing her creations to the world through this website.
