It’s been a couple of years since we started this website, and then things did not go as planned. Instead of developing the site, I have been painting at home and managing life’s long side quests. I am also homeschooled, so there is a lot of autonomous reading at home.
I read on all sorts of subjects. Mama is setting me up a girls’ library, and my preference is to read books for and by girls. This is such a wonderful discovery! Mama chooses the books. They are on all sorts of subjects. Nature, science, arts, math, fashion. We get a lot of novels. I am absolutely diving into books like the Spy School series. I also love the Asian-themed fantasy books.
The subject of the Art keeps changing; lately, I have painted rocky streams, Moonlit nights, and butterflies. I also did an experiment where I painted on little canvases, under different-colored lights. Pink, Orange, Blue. When you turn on the white light at the end, the colors can surprise you!
I cannot wait to bring you my art!
We have lots of challenges. Several months of nearly no electricity in Winter were followed by a Spring that came and went while we stressed about the news. I didn’t know how to process that; Mama said just pray. Reading kept me busy through that time.
We hope to have systems that can enable us to have electricity all day, year-round. I also pray for better Internet.
Life in the Pakistani Himalayas can be tough…
